Ourika VALLEY DAY TRIP
Embarking on a day trip from Marrakech to the Ourika Valley to explore the geographical landscapes of the high Atlas Mountains is one of the best opportunities to explore a blend of nature and culture in Morocco, where charming and beautiful landscapes exist, through our way we will enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the lush green valley located among the High Atlas Mountains for 1-hour driver. Upon arrival at the Berber village of Setti Fadma, we will meet our local guide who knows the area very well, and take us on a hike through the Berber villages, where people still practice the traditional medieval agriculture. This area is known for its s pleasantly cool climate throughout the year, it promises a serene retreat. After that, we will hike to the first waterfall to explore a panoramic view of the cascading waters, as you can swim and take a dip at the heart of the waterfall. As well as relaxing and enjoying the fresh air of the waterfall, you can see local monkeys as they playfully climb walnut trees and pick nuts to share with us. After enjoying the mesmerizing landscapes of the high Atlas Mountains, we will return to the village for a traditional Moroccan lunch at a local restaurant with beautiful views of the Atlas Mountains. we will head back to Marrakech.
Essaouira DAY TRIP
Morning traveling from Marrakech to Essaouira city, where will have a stroll around the bustling Mogador an old port of the city, famous for its vibrant colors, spectacular sights, and historical treasures. It was a main route for trade around the Cape of Good Hope to Western Europe, Mogador port nowadays developed into a new port with a small international community of merchants. Which makes it a mesmerizing place to explore. After that, we will head into the old medina, passing through the narrow streets, where different artisans show their skilled handicrafts. We can stop to get some souvenirs and then we will move to explore Moulay el Hassan Square, known as the largest square in this city. Moreover, we will get the chance to visit the Berber association to learn how local women produce Argan oil, it used for health and beauty reasons. Later on, we will continue our journey toward the workshop, it’s renowned for crafting intricate woodwork from local conifer trees. After the exploration of this, we will move to enjoy a fresh fish lunch near the bustling souk, and then we will depart directly back to Marrakech, approximately for 2-hour drive.
Ouzoud Waterfalls DAY TRIP
Moving from Marrakech to visit Ouzoud waterfalls across the Middle Atlas Mountains. This area is known for its landscapes as one of the most spectacular waterfalls in North Africa. As we reach Ouzoud, we will meet our local guide who will guide us to the top of the falls on a hike through olive groves. On our way, we will pass through Berber villages where we will discover the Berber culture of this area. As we reach the top, we can either relax or if you are a swimmer, you can swim or just enjoy the breathtaking view of the waterfalls landing at 110 meters into the pool below. After that, we will get back to the village for some fresh orange juice as well as take a short ride on a traditional board-boat at the pump of the waterfalls, this experience promises an amazing view of the waterfalls. Later on, we will enjoy a refreshing lunch at a Berber restaurant with a splendid view of the falls and then, we will drive back toward Marrakech for a restful evening.
